Understanding how emotions manifest in the body can be incredibly insightful. Here are a few exercises you might find helpful:

Body Scan Meditation
What to do: Sit or lie down in a quiet place. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Start from the top of your head and slowly move your attention down through your body (head, shoulders, chest, stomach, legs, etc.), noticing any sensations—tightness, warmth, tingling, or discomfort.
Purpose: This helps you identify where emotions like stress, sadness, or joy are physically stored.
Emotion Mapping
What to do: When you feel a strong emotion, pause and ask, “Where do I feel this in my body?” For example, anger might feel like heat in the chest, and anxiety could feel like tension in the stomach. Write these down or even draw a figure to visually map them.
Purpose: It builds awareness of emotional patterns and their physical counterparts.
Journaling with the Body
What to do: Write about what you're feeling but include descriptions of your body sensations. For instance, instead of just saying, "I feel nervous," try, "My stomach is fluttery, my chest feels tight, and my hands are slightly sweaty."
Purpose: It deepens your connection to the mind-body relationship.
