I am incredibly lucky to have had an excellent upbringing where I learned cultural values and the significance of discipline, hard work, authenticity, courage, compassion, sincerity, honesty, truthfulness, and everything in between.
My mother hails from a scholarly literary family, with my grandfather being a Vedic scholar and other family members involved in education and research in various capacities. Meanwhile, my father comes from a logical, analytical family, where my grandfather is a math genius and every member is either an educator or engaged in a science profession.
I experienced the best of both worlds by studying science and entering the IT field while maintaining strong cultural roots. I was raised in India and am a Hindu. During my upbringing, I read significant Hindu spiritual texts and had many questions about the concept of one consciousness, about God, religion, and rituals. What are the consequences if we don't adhere to them?
At 24, I got married and relocated to the US with my husband. I have two sons, who are now 20 and 13. While raising them within American culture and trying to impart our cultural heritage, I faced challenges in addressing some of their questions.
I found the American public education system highly inspiring, particularly in the areas of language arts and the extracurricular activities supported by the PTA, such as Junior Achievement (teaches entrepreneurship), Peacemaker (educates students on conflict resolution through negotiation and mediation), Growth Mindset, Mind Maps, and many others. I volunteered at the school to help run these programs and gained a great deal of knowledge in the process.
Initially, I began with reading several books on parenting and then broadened my scope to include the original sources of these concepts. I explored numerous books (see my reading list in the Book Corner) on various subjects and eventually delved into philosophy. I began identifying parallels between Western, Hindu, and Buddhist philosophies.
My health issues, particularly those involving physical pain, led me to delve into spiritual aspects such as the energy body, aura, and different healing methods. I spent considerable time researching energy centers and the influence of emotions on the body's energy flow. I learned how our thoughts affect our emotions, which, if not expressed or released, can become trapped in our bodies and result in psychosomatic problems.
Since Covid began in March 2020, I found myself with plenty of free time since I no longer needed to take my kids to their classes. I became part of couple of groups and programs, and began sharing my knowledge by coaching and counseling others with the information I had gathered up to that point. This is when my learning truly accelerated, as I continued to search for the ultimate solution to alleviate my pain.
During this process, I collaborated with a couple of spiritual organizations in India. Each week, I gave talks where I provided detailed explanations of the books I had read. Playlists of these book explanations are available on my YouTube channel. Participants would contact me, asking how to apply those ideas in their lives. This was the beginning of my formal coaching career.
I found that numerous philosophies and cultures hold similar beliefs about a unified consciousness. All the answers to our questions can be found there. To connect with this singular consciousness, we must quiet the noise in our minds and find peace.
Emotions like grief, apathy, shame, anger, jealousy, and pride drain our energy, leaving us tired and frustrated. By mastering the ability to let go of these emotions and respond thoughtfully instead of reacting impulsively, we can save a substantial amount of energy. This enables us to be more productive and make time for our passions, assisting others by using our unique talents, which leads to self-actualization.
My mission is to assist individuals in releasing their limiting beliefs and gaining the courage to confront their fears and accept themselves as they truly are. By doing so, we create space to access our creativity and pursue our passions, which brings great satisfaction and fulfillment in life.
